n7 Readers will perhaps notice that the familar name of Dr. Philip Alan Maplestone, d.s.o., d.sc., m.b.j ch.B., d.t.m., does not appear this month on our cover. Earlier in this year, when the Japanese threat to Australia was developing rapidly, Dr. Maplestone decided that in the circumstances he ought to return to Australia where his wife and family were living. He took four months' leave, but since his arrival in Australia he has resigned his appointment at the
